About the Event
On Thursday 21st March we’re running a half day workshop on understanding farm carbon emissions and how to do up your own farm emissions profile, delivered by Richard Brake.
You can have a go at creating an emissions profile beforehand using our new toolkit. If you can't, come along anyway. The toolkit to guides producers through the process of creating an emissions profile. Two local farmers we spoke with estimated it took them about 2 hours to create an emissions profile. Call our project coordinator Jan Clawson if you have questions along the way: 0407 990 497 or janclawson@asheepbeef.org.au.
The workshop will be held at the Esperance Bay Yacht Club and runs as follows:
- 8:00AM Arrive
- 8:15AM Introduction – Meat & Livestock Australia CN30 target & drivers for carbon neutrality
- 8:30AM Review emissions profiles
- 10:00AM Morning tea
- 10:30AM How to reduce emissions, Production efficiencies
- 11:15AM Certified Sustainable, Insetting, Offsetting, Carbon Farming & Natural Capital Accounting
- 12:30PM Lunch
There is no charge, but please contact Jan Clawson to register as there are limited places: janclawson@asheepbeef.org.au or call 0407 990 497.
In the afternoon farmers already involved in our 'CN30: Getting Started on Farm' project will have a session with Richard (if that’s you, Jan will be in touch direct).
This workshop is delivered as part of ASHEEP & BEEF's 'CN30: Getting Started on Farm' Meat & Livestock Australia Producer Demonstration site project.
